The problem is the Labor Party and the Greens have been saying that landlords evicting tenants in such a tough rental period are nasty people and that their should be a frieze on landlords being able to evict tenants no matter what the reason. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

I wonder how many new properties the PM and his fellow MPs will acquire when the close the real estate loophole left open for foreign investors to launder cash via real estate. The real reason for closing the loophole is to steal all the Russian and chinese property investments and Murdoch media will say its all Triads and Russian mafia money and then buy it cheap before it goes to auction

The housing crisis hasn't occurred overnight. It goes back to the negligence and policies of Abbott, Turnbull, Morrison. An owner is entitled to sell his property. Albo has admitted he's treated the tenant well from the time of Covid but wants to eventually sell the property now. Maybe a new owner might continue the tenancy. It's obviously an opposition or Murdoch derived mud sling!

Both Labor and The Greens are putting forward non-solutions to this problem (Labor promotes increasing supply at a tiny fraction of what is needed while the Greens promote rent freezes, which do not work as California shows: a massive state-sponsored increase in suitable, affordable supply is needed as shown in Finland, Austria and Mississippi), while The Liberals (and many in Labor too) are happy about all the free rent their people are collecting, how desperate people are to work long hours, and how their people can become rich by doing nothing. PS. On last video's topic, I must say it was good to see FriendlyJordies call out Labor over Daniel McBride.

I can’t believe the media jumped on this non story. Is Albo not allowed to sell his own house? This whole story is ridiculous. The guy even admits Albo had given him a good deal. He was on a rental rate well below market rate for years because Albo didn’t put the rent up when Covid was over. Pathetic.

It has been reported that Flanagan received $60 thousand in reduced rent since covid & was given 3 months to vacate very fair terms IMO , Albanese is entitled to sell his property if he wants the renter has sour grapes about it & has run to the media about it
